SCORIA - luminaire

Adam Keprta

The SCORIA luminaire combines recycled materials with a luxurious aesthetic in harmony with functional design. Its diffuser, made from recycled plastic by Plastic Guys, features a structural texture reminiscent of onyx, while the overall form draws inspiration from the purity of functionalism. The construction, crafted from recycled aluminum, ensures both strength and lightness, while leather straps serve as suspension and as a refined aesthetic detail. Originating from the author’s commitment to sustainability, the project illustrates how recycling can gain new value without compromising on design.

The luminaire was created in collaboration with Lasvit, a company renowned for its long-standing dedication to innovative approaches in glass and lighting design.

SCORIA demonstrates how recycled material can be transformed into a luxury object without losing prestige. The luminaire affirms that sustainability is not an aesthetic compromise, but rather a bearer of emotional and visual quality.
