The project was developed under the assignment Less is More, a faculty-wide design initiative of FMK UTB presented in an international context. The author worked with waste material from the metalworking industry, using aluminum and brass tubes, which she further refined by hand through cutting, grinding, and polishing. The individual components were joined with handmade rivets crafted from recycled metal scraps.
The outcome is a collection of three objects — a brooch, a bracelet, and a ring — conceived as multifunctional pieces whose final form is determined by the wearer. Here, the play with material and technique outweighs conventional “functionality” of jewelry, positioning the work between ornament and small sculptural object.
The work transforms industrial waste into jewelry with aesthetic value, suggesting that design can transcend boundaries between material research and wearable art.
