About the Exhibition

The SHIFT exhibition is part of Bratislava Design Week 2025, taking place from 24 to 28 September 2025. It showcases the work of students and faculty members from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, who explore transformation as a key process shaping contemporary design. The projects intertwine traditional craft with new technologies, bold material experiments with digital tools and artificial intelligence, as well as critical reflections on social, ecological, and cultural challenges.

The selection of works demonstrates that for the emerging generation of designers, transformation is not only an aesthetic motif but also a method — a way to respond to today’s rapidly changing conditions and to seek a responsible yet inspiring design for the future.
